Sunday Ride

Had to stop and let the girls play
Payday has a disadvantage to Scratchoff, it's called hair, she loves to get hold of payday's hair. just like typical baby's, pullen hair....

Just a little rough play..........

Payday sniffin out the bear scent under the shed....

Sunday Ride

Duck, Ruby, Mark and me went riding in the woods Sunday, due to the weather was not condusive for the river. We always like riding down the Magnolia Bog area. We did our typical stop at the old tin shed. You can see where the Bear(s) have scratched on the poles sharpening their claws. we found several bunches of hair patches at the site also.

One of the posts they claw on...

One of the water holes we traveled down....

Saturday Ride

We were sitting down at the Rock Pile pestering Dale while he was hunting and this doe came swimming towards us. She turned and went back towards the land once she seen us.
Wanted to show how you make a chicken sandwich on the river using your leg as a table, Glen did a good job of doing it while April kept on fishing.

The doe swimming back towards land..

Camoflauging

On our way to the river Saturday, came across a couple of professionals (Ben and Scooter, Lydia was director of spray and I supose Diesel was lunch crumb cleanup) doing a camo job. Think we caught them on their lunch break... Oh and how many cans did it take to paint the Boat?

Peacocks

When we got to Paul and Kim's Saturday, there were 4 peacocks on the end of the dock. Scratch Off ran them off up into the trees. They were so pretty (atleast the male one was) HeHe It was probably a good thing that Scratch ran them away, or we would have had Peacock for dinner next weekend....

Cause they POOP everywhere, even on Dale's boat..

But we enjoyed them while they were there. They were gone by Sunday

Huge Turtle!

We came up on this Huge Turtle laying on a log, his eyes were patruding out of his head...

We first thought he was dead, but we poked at him and he went off the log, only to climb right back on..

He was sooooo fat. Anyone know what kind it is?

Todd & Cheryl

Our friends Todd & Cheryl got a nice new airboat. Mark says that they have to cut all the vines that have growen on it before they can take it out. That's only because they are not out every day of the weekend like he is.
We are glad that they have a new boat, so that they can ride with us
It's Just A Southern Thang.................................................(that's the name of the boat)

Rock Pile

We were sitting at the rock pile after the sun got too low in Blue and seeing how the water is so fridgid we were looking for more sun.... My PayDay looking for her boyfriend Diesel...
Ben and Lydia trying to cool off.

Mark, Tammy and Joe finishing up a beautiful day on the Wacissa River....

Goose Pasture camping

I was going through some old pictures and found these of a camping trip to Goose Pasture. These Indians were camping on the reserved side. We went to visit them and had a blast as they told us old stories, played the flutes, and the drums. After we were done, we invited them back over to our camp to eat fish and gator tail.
They heated the drum by the fire and as you can see Duck and Cody (Janices son) were invited to chant and beat on the drums. Before they played the drums they did a offering of tabacco on the drums. It was pretty neat....
She was showing us the carvings on one of her flutes..

They had this big teepee put up right at the water, Sarah and Dale posed by it.

It says it all

Armadilla

We were down at Goose Pasture waiting on everyone to meet to go riding and Scratch Off found this armadilla and was playing with it, as you can see her mama wanted to play with it too...
Scratch Off playing with the armadilla, the critter could have cared less that she was pounching all around it.
We later found out the poor thing had been shot. I'm no lover of armadilla's but if you are going to kill something, kill it DEAD!!

Gator Bones

We had seen this gator dead a few months ago, he was hung up in an old troute line. Glen told us that his bones were raped around the log, so me and Mark ran down river to get pics, wished there had been more sun lite left..

This was his head, if you can tell, kinda looks like a sad dog....

My big bass

I caught this 15" Bass a couple of weekends ago..
Duck kept holering for me to hold him away from me so that he would look bigger, but I kinda look like a JK!!!

Paul's other gator 2007

Paul and Dale got this mamoth gator. He stopped by so that I could get some pics of him. I think he was 11'2, but it was HUGE!!!!
How'd you like to get bite by that..............
Paul's truck is a long wheel base, if you can imagine. See how much room he took up.

See the big hole on top of his head, the bullets from the bang stick were bouncing off. He had to beat it with a hand held pick axe.

Paul Gator 2007

Paul was doing an Indian dance with his tomahawk over the gator
Paul and Mark posing with the gator, after they got him all tied up, me and Kim stayed real high up on the boat.
Paul wanted a little snuggle time with his gator!!
