Cheryl and Ruby walking along trying to stay out of the mud.... Mark was tricking Sarah with the camera, he held it low and click while she was looking at him.
Payday was peeking out from under her blanky...

I just thought this was cute! Cheryl and her umbrella sitting in the rain...

Mark was testing Todd's gears out, trying low range verses high range (of course my pics posted backwards). Todd finaly told him to get the @#%* out of his Jeep!
Todd walking over to get Mark out of his Jeep....
I think at this point we were not dealing with Mark, we were dealing with DENNIS!

I declare! Were in the middle of I don't know where and if anybody can get service on the cell phone it is gonna be Ruby!

Off on another walking adventure...
Hey Ruby! Don't you know you can't smoke in the rain!!
This is my redneck buddies ranger (Janice & Dale) the rain was coming in the back, so they improvised with palm tree frongs to cover the back.

Todd and Cheryl did not have a roof on their jeep, so we lent them an umbrella, I'm sure it did not do a lotta good. Thank goodness it did not pour rain!

Waiting out a few sprinkles....
My redneck buddy with her redneck umbrella.....
I'd have peed my pants if a critter would have came out from this ledge that Ruby was investigating..

My Pay Day in her car seat! She does not like riding in this in the truck, but she was content in it hanging from the Jeep top.

Just a little closer up shot of us in the tree... We were discussing which way to go, our 4 wheel drive thingy is not working, so we had to be careful not to get stuck in some of the holes. Dale had rode ahead to see if the road got worse. He came back to say that he found a BETTER ROAD, it had several trees across it, we decided to back track and venture the BETTER ROAD the next day.
This is a squirrel skull that Janice found in hole, we were wondering what she was trying to cut with those clippers....

Dale was trying to push this old dead tree over with his ranger, he finally decided to go around it. I was camera ready, cause all I could see happening was it falling on top of the Ranger and breaking the top.

Another adventueous weekend at the Goose! Friday once we got camp set-up we decided to ride a little while before Duck and Ruby got in. Janice found this walking stick (it was one of those wheely things, less the wheel). She almost fell with it and then Sarah got hold of it and almost fell, don't think it was a very good walking stick!
Janice wanted for us to take a picture on the huge tree base that we found, and as usual, you mention picture and Sarah runs away.
Janice was telling me to look on the tree at some POOP and of course i'm looking up the tree to make sure that what ever left the poop is not up the tree!!

Off to find something else of beauty........

After looking at the sinks, we stood under a little information center (where you get maps and such for SRWM) and decided to go through Magnolia Bog to the Tin Shed (should be called the Bear Shed, cause the Bears us it to rub against the poles and to claw it to sharpen their nails). There we built a small fire under the roof (due to it was raining) and BS'ed the rest of the afternoon. The fire sure was warm, cause it was starting to get colder!
Little Sarah and her good self, sat quietly and played while us big kids talked about our adventures.

I had to get this pic of Joe going through this water hole. Ya see Joe does not like getting his truck dirty, it is always sqeeky clean.

Rainey Day Sunday

This was a beautiful sink that we parked on the side of the road and walked into. I was actually on the back side looking into this sink, to my back was another sink with a small ledge in between the two, to stand on.. The sand that has washed in was like being at the beach.
This was the ledge that you could walk between the two sinks. Dale is ahead of me and on the beach sand is Joe and Sarah.
You can see where the sand has washed in, I loved the curved palm tree.

This was the sink behind the big sink. The big sink as Duck says is called Dead Mans Sink. Years ago there were some people killed and their vehicle was ran off into the big sink. It is ashame that such a beautiful place is only remembered for such a horrible crime!

All the girls hopped on this log for a hoto shoot and we had to have the pretty pink shovel of Sarah's in the pic too.... We also wanted a pic of our ugly (well most) water boots that we wore. Mark kept snapping the camera of us getting off the log (he just wanted to be camera ready in-case one of us fell!)
Just tracking along on our way back to the trucks (beers were getting low)

Did not find anything, but the woods were awsomely beautiful! And as cold as it was, we did not have to worry about snakes, unless you fliped over logs (as I did) and found a little green snake, of course I don't care what color a snake is, A SNAKE IS A SNAKE AND BETTER OFF DEAD!

Sarah got a pretty new pink shovel and Dale was showing her how to use it. I think she did a good job at catching on.
She definetly got the hang of it....

Of course, after a few shovels, we decided that the pretty pink shovel was just for looks, seeing how she had gloves and water boots to match.

Janice had the best, between her bag and her coat (she drinks more than us hehe) she had them stuffed just about everywhere she could stuff em!! She definetly won the best cooler!
This pic was a little blurrrred, but it was the only pic that I had of Ruby and Duck Cooler. Half way in our trek they double back to the trucks, Ruby said she was not going to get wet like we did last weekend!

Tammy's cooler on her arm, hers double as a purse!

Redneck Beer Coolers

We went on a woods adventure and of course everyone tried to find something to bring a long a few beers for the walk so here are the REDNECK COOLERS!
Janice and Dale must have thought we were going to the mall so their bag was a christmas shopping bag. Does'nt Dale look cute with his cooler.
Janice started out with the cooler and of course handed it over to Dale to carry.

Her cooler was of high design, it read Let It Snow!

FYI! Moon Shine Still

We had a dear friend that did a little asking on this Moon Shine Still that we discovered. The last time that it was in use was 1958. The Moon Shiners had gotten word that they had been ratted out and it was going to be destroyed, so they never went back. Which was what Mark had said by the looks of the site, the bottles left and the Axe mark in the end of the drum. WOW! I just love history and this to me was a great find.

One last post to this great adventure spent on the Wacissa river with all our friends. Maybe there will be another adventure? (this weekend?). I should not say maybe, cause when you hang out with the crew that we do, there is bound to be fun to be had every weekend! I just hope that everyone had as much fun as I did! Keep watching and see ya on the river!!
